In the colours of the light ... I see the rainbow

This spring I have worked with the colours of the rainbow
I begin with the primary colours ... yellow-red-blue
It´s always fascinated me mixing the colours !!
using the acryllic painting
you have the possibility
to add a lot of water and put a lot of thin layers on top of each other.
The transperancy let the colours mix on the canvas
and it´s a wonderful feeling to see the colours chance,
get brigther or deeper ... more cold or more warm !!!

when I think the colours have some kind of balance
I use diffent ways to make
the things I see more clear ...

in the next to paintings I have used some blue colour
to make the brigther colours stand out
shapes  of people ...

                                                             the next painting I also
                                                                       started up
                                                             with the primary colours

then I used a spatel to make som
thin soft, straight lines and afterwards I started
to make some patterns ...

Another beginning ...

I thought the colours were so beautiful and
I felt there was so much life in the colours
so I did not want to disturb it too much ...

... so I decided to use a white pen and draw the contours
of some of the small details
to make some parts stand out.

When it was finished ...
I thought it reminded me of the bright colours
of the glasmosaic windows in Sagrada Familia

GAUDI .... SAGRADA FAMILIA

ANTONI GAUDI
(1852 - 1926)

passionated architect
 in the time of
 modernism / Art nouveau
made his own
 unique style

"GAUDI-ISM"

He had a passion for organic structures
His brilliant mind found information and inspiration in nature.
He relied on the simplicity and immediacy of nature
to solve architectural problems.
Instead of using mathematical calculations
he made experiments to calculate the load of a structure
or the final form of decoration.
The model was the ideal instrument !!!

He surrounded himself with specialized artists and artisans
who could transform his imaginative designs into reality

In Barcelona you can see more of his fantastic buildings
and with all its details
you can go on discovering new things !!

Gaudi started 1883
in search for the perfect temple
he worked on it until his death in 1926

and there´s still a lot to come ....

Gaudi wanted the temple to be closer to heaven
than any other building in Barcelona.
when the building is finished there will be 18 towers
in different heights according to
the hierarchical symbolism the represent

the central dome which represent Jesus
will measure 170 meters !!!

Enormous dimensions, originally style revolutionary
technical solutions and it mythicism of its brilliant creator
ANTONI GAUDI
More than a century its constructions advanced on .....
A fantastic building I look forward
to follow in the years to come !!!
